Last week I had the pleasure of enjoying a night out for food and drink somewhere I would never have thought of…a golf course. I was invited via Tampa Bay Bloggers to the closed event and sampled a smorgasbord of food and drink at Cuatro at TPC.
I was impressed with the quality of the food and the cocktails really hit the spot. Cuatro had a decent selection of beer, macro and micro, along with a nice bar setup. My favorite drink of the evening was the Cactus Hat Margarita. The dried pineapple floated in the drink was a nice touch, and delicious to eat as well.
The most impressive food items were the charcuterie and cheese table. There were so many mounds of cheese and bouquets of salumi my head was spinning. They also had fresh tortilla chips and guacamole at the end of the table as well. The guacamole was no joke. I’ve never had peas and sunflower seeds in my guac before, but I was digging it.
The caribbean jerk chicken wings were also a favorite of mine. A decent amount of heat with the right amount of spice made these quite enjoyable.
The richest food item of the evening came from a tightly wrapped fried character. His name is Mr. Rueben Eggroll. The just fattty enough pastrami was so unctuous and delicious. One or two was all I could handle.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with what Cuatro has going on here. If I was playing here at TPC and needed some good food and drink I would look no further and probably belly up to the bar or grab a spacious table and indulge right here.
